So, I thought I'd take a trip this time to the aquatic nation of Magallanica, focusing this time around the dreaded pirate zombies of the «Granblue» clan. After seeing the "Seven Seas" deck gain a bit of a boost in G-CHB03 "Rummy Labyrinth Under the Moonlight", I'd have a go at expanding the deck a bit, especially since a number of the units for the "Seven Seas" deck have especial-counterblasts. Personally I'm a bit OCD when it comes to especial-counterblasts, I think that there should be cards to help build an entire deck with cards of a certain title (in this case, the "Seven Seas"). But, as well as that, I have an additional stride for them as well! Let's take a look, shall we?

1. “Master of the Seven Seas, Nightmist Hollow”

Clan: «Granblue»

Race: Vampire

Power: 15000+

Critical: +1

Grade: 4

Skill: Triple Drive!!!

Abilities:

Stride (Released when both players' vanguards are grade 3 or greater!)-Stride Step-[Choose one or more cards with the sum of their grades being 3 or greater from your hand, and discard them] Stride this card on your (VC) from face down.

[ACT](VC)[1/Turn]:[Choose a face down card with “Seven Seas” in its card name from your G zone, and turn it face up] Until end of turn, this unit gets “[AUTO](VC):[Choose one of your rear-guards, and retire it] When this unit’s drive check reveals a grade 1 or greater card with “Seven Seas” in its card name, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose a card from your drop zone, call it to (RC), and if the number of face up cards with the same card name as this unit is two or more, that unit gets [POWER]+5000 until end of turn. At the end of that turn, retire that unit.”.

Much like my "Silver Thorn Dragon, Spark Encore Dragon", this was inspired by "Ultimate Beast Deity, Ethics Buster Catastrophe" of the «Nova Grappler» clan. Once each turn, you turn a face down "Seven Seas" card face up in your G-zone in order to gain a battle phase skill, activated whenever you reveal a grade 1 or greater "Seven Seas" card during your drive check. When that condition is met, you retire one of your rear-guards in order to superior call a unit from your drop zone to the rear-guard, with an added +5000 power as long as there's at least two face up copies of "Nightmist Hollow" in your G-zone. At the end of the turn, you retire the unit that was called with this ability. That really helps against the control decks like «Kagero» or even rewind-based «Gear Chronicle», as it reduces the number of targets your opponent can use. The extra cards in the drop zone might help to boost the chances of decks like the «Link Joker» "Deletors" deck (vanish delete) and the «Narukami» "Vanquisher" deck (binding for Thunderstrike), so be careful on which cards you leave in there.

2. “Seven Seas Rifleman, Nightshot”

Clan: «Granblue»

Race: Vampire

Power: 7000

Critical: +1

Grade: 1

Skill: Boost

Shield: 5000

Abilities:

[AUTO]:[CB(1) & Put this unit into your soul] When this unit is put into the drop zone from (RC), if you have a grade 3 or greater vanguard with “Seven Seas” in its card name, you may pay the cost. If you do, choose a grade 3 card from your drop zone, and put it into your hand.

Now, for the moment, the majority of the "Seven Seas" support I've done is grade 1 ad below. I originally thought of making this a grade 3 break-ride searcher similar to "Sharp Point Liberator, Gold Lancer", but I thought I'd work on something that would instead allow you to stride on each of your turns. "Seven Seas" often retire the rear-guards they call at the end of their turn, much like "Nightrose" and her Hollow units. This triggers the ability of "Seven Seas Rifleman, Nightshot". When retired, you counterblast 1 and move "Nightshot" to the soul to add a grade 3 card from your drop zone to your hand, as long as you have a "Seven Seas" vanguard of grade 3 or greater. This should help you to either stride or break-ride easily on your following turn!

3. “Seven Seas Swordsman, Nightslash”

Clan: «Granblue»

Race: Vampire

Power: 7000

Critical: +1

Grade: 1

Skill: Boost

Shield: 5000

Abilities:

[CONT](Hand): During your turn, while paying the cost for [STRIDE], if you have a vanguard with “Seven Seas” in its card name, this unit gets grade +2.

[AUTO]:[Choose a card from your drop zone other than this unit, and put it on the bottom of your deck] When this unit is discarded for the cost of [STRIDE], if you have a vanguard with “Seven Seas” in its card name, you may pay the cost. If you do, call this card to (RC), draw a card, choose your vanguard, and until end of turn, this unit and that unit get [POWER]+3000. At the end of your turn, retire this unit.

In case "Nightshot" isn't exactly your thing, there is another option available for helping you stride, "Seven Seas Swordsman, Nightslash". You should know by now I wasn't going to leave this group without a stride fodder, just like the other card groups I've made support for in the past! As long as you've got a "Seven Seas" vanguard, this card becomes a grade 3 whilst paying the cost for stride. Following that, you can activate another skill once you discard "Nightslash" for the stride cost. By placing a card from your drop zone onto the bottom of your deck, you get to call this guy to the rear-guard, draw a card, and add +3000 power to "Nightslash" and your vanguard, so long as your vanguard is a "Seven Seas" unit. At the end of the turn, this unit will then retire itself, a fair sacrifice for the benefits it adds once used for stride fodder.

4. “Seven Seas Arbiter, Nightshield”

Clan: «Granblue»

Race: Vampire

Power: 6000

Critical: +1

Grade: 1

Skill: Boost

Shield: 0

Abilities:

[CONT]: Sentinel

[AUTO]:[Choose a card from your hand, and discard it] When this unit is placed on (GC), you may pay the cost. If you do, choose your vanguard, and that unit cannot be hit until end of that battle.

[AUTO]:[Choose a trigger unit and a card from your drop zone with the same card name as this unit, and put it on the bottom of your deck] When this unit is retired from (RC), if you have a vanguard with “Seven Seas” in its card name, you may pay the cost. If you do, return this unit to your hand.

You should've seen this coming a mile off, guys. Of course I did a perfect guard for "Seven Seas"! "Nightshield's" partly based off of the current range of perfect guard units, where they can return a copy of themselves to the deck from the drop zone in order to return to the hand due to certain conditions. When entering the drop zone from the rear-guard, "Nightshield" lets you return a trigger unit and a copy of itself from the drop zone to the deck in order to return to your hand, that is as long as you have a "Seven Seas" vanguard. That's got to be worth considering for the "Seven Seas" deck, right?

5. “Seven Seas Swordsman, Strike Shade”

Clan: «Granblue»

Race: Ghost

Power: 4000

Critical: +1

Grade: 0

Skill: Boost

Shield: 10000

Trigger: [CRITICAL]+1, [POWER]+5000

Abilities:

[AUTO]: When this unit is placed on (RC) from your drop zone, if you have a vanguard with “Seven Seas” in its card name, you may have this unit get [POWER]+3000 until end of turn. If you do, at the end of your turn, return this unit to your deck, and shuffle your deck.

Yay, new trigger unit! So, this guy is simple and effective, something I'm sure you guys would love to use. So, let's say you call this onto the battlefield at one point from the drop zone during the later part of your battle phase. You check to see if your vanguard is a "Seven Seas" unit. If it is, you grant this guy an extra +3000 power, allowing it to boost for the same amount of power as an un-boosted grade 1 with a base of 7000 power. And then at the end of the turn, you return "Strike Shade" to your deck, shuffling it afterwards. That's all you'll need it to do, in order to prevent deck-out as well as increase your chances of pulling a critical trigger during future drive checks. Neat, huh?

6. “Seven Seas Dragon Undead, Crumbling Dragon”

Clan: «Granblue»

Race: Skeleton

Power: 4000

Critical: +1

Grade: 0

Skill: Boost

Shield: 10000

Trigger: [STAND]+1, [POWER]+5000

Abilities:

[AUTO]:[Put this unit on the bottom of your deck] When this unit is put into the drop zone from (RC) due to a card effect, if you have a vanguard with “Seven Seas” in its card name, you may pay the cost. If you do, [CC(1)], and draw a card.

Last one for tonight, and it's another trigger unit! This skill is pretty handy as it doesn't need to be called from the drop zone in order to be activated. Like "Strike Shade", the effect is simple but effective. If ever "Crumbling Dragon" is sent to the drop zone from the rear-guard via card effect, as long as your vanguard is a "Seven Seas" unit, you send "Crumbling Dragon" onto the bottom of your deck so that you can countercharge 1 and draw a card. Helps for defence, extra resource management, and increases your chances of gaining triggers later on. Simple but effective.

That brings us to a close on this article. Next time, we're going to be taking a look at some new units for the «Narukami» clan! Until the next time, my friends!
